WEATHER:
Please
call the track telephone (805) 521-0515 for the LATEST information. If
we have a lot of rain or need to close due to too much rain,
it will be updated on the track telephone. The track
telephone is our fastest way to update everyone on the track
status.
RIDER
SAFETY
We
have had a few riders who have come to the park without the
proper riding gear. All riders MUST wear boots
and a helmet and goggles. Gloves,
long sleeve shirts, or short sleeved shirts with elbow pads,
and chest protectors are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Remember
that you are riding at your own risk, so please be aware
of the dangers of not wearing the proper gear.
We
have also had a problem with PIT RIDING. Please
walk your bikes for spectator and rider safety. All
riders must enter and exit the track slowly. There
are a lot of riders that are entering/exiting the track while
spectators and track personnel stand near the track entrance. Anyone
speeding in the pits or riding recklessly will be asked to LEAVE! Enter
and Exit the track SLOWLY!
YELLOW
FLAGS mean caution. When a yellow flag is displayed,
it means that riders must ride cautiously until they have
passed the incident that has caused the flag. We
have had a few riders who have disregarded the yellow flag
and have almost hit downed riders and employees trying
to help the downed rider. Any riders who fail to
use caution when approaching a yellow flag will be flagged
off the track and/or asked to leave the Park.
Ride
Safely!! Safety is first and foremost in our minds.
We want everyone to have fun at Piru Motocross Park! Remember
that there are a lot of young riders and spectators that
are here. Please help us to insure that the pit area’s
and the track are safe for EVERYONE.
